Bucherer exclusive breitling superocean 36 front

Business as usual as Breitling makes watch exclusively for Rolex-owned Bucherer

"In coming together, Breitling and Bucherer are uniting not just their rich heritage but also their great admiration for each other."

Bucherer seems keen to show it is business as usual since it was bought by Rolex.

Nobody expected Rolex’s rivals to withdraw from one of the biggest luxury watch retailers in the world, but would Bucherer continue to treat all brands equally?

Breitling and Bucherer are demonstrating the strength of their longstanding relationship with the creation of three special edition Superocean watches made exclusively for the Swiss jeweller.

“In coming together, Breitling and Bucherer are uniting not just their rich heritage but also their great admiration for each other,” a Bucherer statement describes.

Each of the three Superocean watches is being made in a limited run of 88 pieces — a nod to Bucherer’s 1888 founding year.

There is a 44mm version of the Superocean with a light blue dial framed by a black ceramic diver’s bezel is worn on a black rubber strap.

It is selling now at Bucherer.com for £4,300.

Mid-size is a 42mm model with a burgundy dial, red minute track and a rose gold bezel and crown, which takes the price up to £6,000.

A 36mm piece has the same sky blue dial and matching white bezel and rubber strap is priced at £4,200.

The three new Bucherer Exclusive Breitling Superocean models are available now from selected Bucherer stores worldwide as limited editions.
