Audemars Piguet has opened its 15th AP House in Los Angeles on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
It joins a growing network of lounges in landmark locations including Barcelona, Hong Kong, London, Milan, Munich, New York, Shanghai, St. Barths, and Tel Aviv.
“AP House Los Angeles represents Audemars Piguet’s celebration of creativity and craftsmanship at all levels, pairing the best of Le Brassus with the best of the West Coast,” says Ginny Wright, Audemars Piguet’s CEO for the Americas.
AP House Los Angeles has an outdoor terrace in addition to its lounge, which total more than 6,500 square feet.
Audemars Piguet already has two boutiques in Southern California: one in Beverly Hills, the other in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
The interior of the new AP House Los Angeles was designed by Brigette Romanek of Romanek Design Studio, who set out to create an interpretation of Le Brassus, where AP’s Swiss headquarters and museum are located, but with a SoCal twist.
She chose layered wood, velvet, mohair, coloured glass, and brass in hues of beige and green for the project.
AP House LA has a watchmaking studio, a full-time watchmaker and an oak-panelled watch display room.
For entertainment, it has a vinyl record station station, a DJ booth and instruments hand-selected by world-renowned musicians.
Contemporary artworks lent by the François Ghebaly Gallery in Los Angeles are used throughout.
