TAG Heuer limbers-up for this weekend’s London Marathon

Almost 500,000 spectators are expected to line the streets of the capital for the annual race on Sunday, April 23, and millions more will follow it live on television.

The King’s Coronation in May will not be the only mass-participation procession through the streets of London this spring.

Travelling at a [hopefully] brisker pace will be 40,000 runners aiming to complete and set a personal best in this year’s TCS London Marathon, which is being sponsored for the eighth consecutive year by TAG Heuer.

Almost 500,000 spectators are expected to line the streets of the capital for the annual race on Sunday, April 23, and millions more will follow it live on television.

TAG Heuer will provide the ultimate memento for runners who complete the famous 26.2 course by supplying an official running time for everybody’s finish line photograph.

Runners in the elite races have even more to fight for because each winner will be presented with a TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 watch.

Spectators can join in the fun at a fan zone alongside the 20 mile marker where TAG Heuer has partnered with urban running collective Run Dem Crew to provide entertainment and a lift to runners as they enter the final stretch of the marathon.

Rob Diver, TAG Heuer managing director, UK & Ireland, says he is delighted to extend the watchmaker’s official timekeeping partnership into an eighth year for a race that embodies the spirit of the brand. “I look forward to awarding the winning athletes our pioneering Connected watch, and to seeing so many runners undertake the challenge”, he says.
