This may be the year of the Carerra, with the classic chronograph marking its 60th anniversary, but TAG Heuer is not neglecting its other family members, and this week unveiled a fresh Monaco with accents of the French racing blue associated with carmakers Talbot-Lago, Delage and the Bugatti Type 35
The watch has a silvered sunray brushed dial with the pale blue used for the two subdials, hour markers and leather strap.
A lacquered central chronograph hand in contrasting yellow gives the watch an unintended nod to the Ukrainian flag.
Its square 39mm sandblasted titanium case houses TAG Heuer’s Calibre 1 automatic movement, which is visible through a clear case back.
The watch is on sale from this week for CHF 9,000.
