New marketplace opens retailers up to online luxury watch buyers

LuxSeeker.com, an online UK luxury marketplace targeting wealthy customers, has officially launched this month.

The marketplace holds more than 20,000 luxury new and pre-owned products, including watches. LuxSeeker.com integrates detailed buyer guides, trends and fashion news, plus the best of social media photos and videos to provide the buyer with a full knowledge and inspired buying experience, the company said.

LuxSeeker.com features more than 5,000 watches, the second biggest category after sunglasses. The brands it stocks include Breitling, Rolex, Alpina, Bell & Ross, Omega, Tag Heuer amongst others.

The LuxSeeker recommendation engine will be crunching over 1,000 data points to deliver recommendations, curations and alerts across media platforms and social channels. This aims to ensure ‘LuxSeekers’ are aware of the latest opportunities around their favourite luxury products.

Lee Williams, who built the highly successful Auto Trader online, and recently established Haymarket’s PistonHeads.com motoring community as the number two motoring marketplace in the UK, is a backer of LuxSeeker.com.

He said: “LuxSeeker can make the luxury marketplace more accessible, in particular we want to unlock all the amazing products and content stocked by both the major retailers and crucially all the independents from across the county into one specialist marketplace.

“LuxSeeker passionately believes that we can enable more of the population to attain the products that they aspire at prices that will surprise them.”

Williams continued: “We launch the first phase with 20,000 luxury products. Response from the luxury trade has been fantastic. We will be rapidly adding products, content and terrific consumer and retailer features month on month. This time next year we expect to list over one million products and services.”
