Junghans unveils limited editions in partnership with 2023 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships

German watchmaker Junghans has been Official Timing Partner since 2019, and is using this year’s event to launch two limited edition chronographs in a super-sporty yellow and black livery.

Five hundred thousand winter sports fans are expected to tune in online or to television coverage of the 2023 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, which take place very two years and is being hosted in Slovenia from February 21 to March 5.

German watchmaker Junghans has been Official Timing Partner since 2019, and is using this year’s event to launch two limited edition chronographs in a super-sporty yellow and black livery.

One is a bullhead design, with the crown and chronograph pushers placed on the top of the watch, making it look like a traditional stopwatch. It houses an automatic movement.

The other has the pushers and crown in the usual place on the right of the case and is driven by a quartz movement.

“Whether in cross-country skiing, ski jumping or Nordic combined, the fight for medals in winter sports combines two things that are integral parts of the Junghans DNA: The decisive role played by time, and the firmly anchored tradition of winter sports in our home, the Black Forest,” says Thomas Fiedler, head of marketing at Junghans.
