Seiko UK is opening a two-storey boutique on New Bond Street, London’s most prestigious luxury shopping thoroughfare.
It will open this autumn and eventually replace the Grand Seiko store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, which is set to close in February next year.
The New Bond Street showroom, occupying 1,790 square feet, will have Grand Seiko on the ground floor and Seiko upstairs along with a VIP lounge for private meetings.
Seiko’s top end Credor watches will also be presented in the lounge.
New Bond Street and Bond Street run between Oxford Street to the north and Piccadilly to the south. The north end is set to benefit from the opening of a new Bond Street station on the London Underground’s Elizabeth Line.
The Seiko and Grand Seiko boutique is particularly well positioned because it has frontage onto both New Bond Street and a historic pedestrian passage that leads to the new station and Hanover Square.

With the new Bond Street boutique we will not only able to create distinct luxurious spaces for both brands, but also be positioned within an area of London which is rightfully globally synonymous with luxury goods,” says Seiko UK managing director David Edwards.
The new boutique will host a series of events to commemorate the 140-year heritage of Seiko Watch Corporation with guests given the rare opportunity to view significant historical pieces on loan from the Seiko Museum in Tokyo.
They can also get hands-on new releases including the Grand Seiko Kodo recently unveiled at Geneva’s Watches & Wonders exhibition.
WATCHPRO Salon 2022
Grand Seiko is among the confirmed exhibitors at the 2022 WATCHPRO Salon, a showcase of prestige watchmakers where collectors, brands, retailers and press meet in 5-star luxury.
Back for a second time after a spectacular debut in 2021, the two-day event takes place from November 11 to 12 at The Londoner, one of the capital’s most spectacular 5-star hotels on London’s Leicester Square.
