Breitling’s boutique network expands to 25 in the UK with two fresh stores in Bristol and Kingston upon Thames

It feels like a real estate news day at WatchPro, with reports about Patek Philippe expanding its salon on London’s Bond Street and Mappin & Webb unveiling a fresh retail concept at a brand new showroom in York.

Add to the list two Breitling monobrands, one in Cabot Circus, Bristol, run in partnership with the Watches of Switzerland Group, the other in the Bentall Centre, Kingston upon Thames, operated by Signet Group.

Of the two, perhaps the more interesting is in Kingston upon Thames, because it provides further evidence that Signet Group is not allowing WoSG to monopolise the monobrand landscape.

Beaverbrooks and a number of family-owned independents are also jostling for position in this part of the market, particularly with Omega, Tudor and Breitling.

There are now 25 Breitling boutiques across the UK, including the two directly run showrooms on London’s Regent Street and Bond Street.

The Bentall Centre boutique is also much larger, at 114.6m² compared to 60m² for the Bristol store.

Both use Breitling’s signature New York loft apartment aesthetic — walnut furniture, dark oak floors, concrete and brass accents, and exposed brick walls — with watches presented in dedicated areas for Air, Land and Sea.
