Mappin & Webb reveals fresh retail concept in new Rolex-anchored multibrand in York

The showroom, on Davy Gate, replaces a smaller store on Coney Street that the Watches of Switzerland Group acquired from Fraser Hart in 2020.

Mappin & Webb has revealed a new high end design concept with the opening of a multibrand boutique, anchored by Rolex, in the historic city of York.

The showroom, on Davy Gate, replaces a smaller store on Coney Street that the Watches of Switzerland Group acquired from Fraser Hart in 2020.

Mappin & Webb’s new concept see the creation of a bright luxurious environment for jewellery with soft blush accents adding a feminine touch to the retailer’s signature blue.

It also has to accommodate dedicated branded areas including a large Rolex room and spaces for Tudor, Hublot and Bulgari watches; a first for Mappin & Webb.

It is open and inviting, working in harmony with the historic building’s architecture, but also has separate VIP consulting rooms, relaxed seating area and a large bar.

On the jewellery front, there is a dedicated bridal area offering Mappin & Webb’s in-house diamond collections, plus branded displays for the likes of Fope, Messika and Roberto Coin.
