Watches of Switzerland Group was able to open its first Breitling boutique in Wales last week as non-essential retail was given the green light to restart trading.

The 88 square metre showroom, in Cardiff’s St David’s Centre, adopts the industrial loft styling of Breitling’s flagship store on London’s Regent Street.

“Alongside our longstanding partner the Watches of Switzerland Group, we are thrilled to open the doors to the new Boutique in Cardiff, where we will showcase the complete spirit of the Breitling brand,” says Gavin Murphy, UK managing director for Breitling.

“Cardiff represents a significant cornerstone for our continued expansion throughout the UK – being the hub of the South West and the capital of Wales. The boutique will house the full width of Breitling’s product offering in our signature loft concept creating a stylish and immersive shopping experience for our clients that perfectly reflects Breitling’s inclusive everyday luxury approach,” he adds.

Breitling is developing as a lifestyle brand under CEO Georges Kern, and the style of its monobrand is designed like a contemporary urban home where customers can feel at ease exploring Breitling’s watches.

“We are delighted to be opening this new Breitling boutique in the St David’s Centre here in Cardiff. We are proud of our partnership with Breitling and look forward to introducing our clients to the brand,” says Craig Bolton, executive director UK for The Watches of Switzerland Group.
