Breitling has added three tourbillon-based watches to the top end of its Top Time Classic Cars chronograph collection that are linked to iconic muscle cars: the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette, and Shelby Cobra.
All three models in the Top Time B21 Classic Cars Chronograph Tourbillon collection use the Breitling Caliber B21, made with movement manufacturer La Joux-Perret, that first appeared in the more luxurious Premier Tourbillon line that launched last year.
They are all worn on perforated leather straps.
The Top Time B21 Ford Mustang comes in a 43mm bronze case with a titanium back.
It has been given a green dial to match the colours of the first-generation Ford Mustang produced from 1964 to 1974.
The Top Time B21 Shelby Cobra is slightly larger in a 44mm black ceramic case with titanium back, crown, pushers, and buckle.
Its blue dial is based on a 1962 Cobra by Le Mans winner Carroll Shelby, who combined a small, light, British-style chassis with a strong, reliable American small-block engine.
The model aligned with the iconic Chevrolet Corvette uses the same 44mm black ceramic case but has a walnut burl dial and perforated leather racing strap paying homage to the steering wheel and dashboard of the legendary 1960s Chevy Sting Ray.
All three new watches are on sale now for £38,000.
