Bamford works with Jeremyville for its first, but unlikely to be last, collaboration of the year

Starting 2024 as he ended 2023, George Bamford is back with another artist collaboration piece.

Bamford London is showing no signs of switching away from its rapid-fire roll out of limited editions made in collaboration with artists, comic book characters and other influencers.

Just eight days into the new year, founder George Bamford is at it again with the unveiling of a cushion-shaped GMT with dial art from Jeremyville — the artist and the virtual world he has created.

Bamford London was founded when a sideline of inexpensive Mayfair watches, which could be lent to customers of the Bamford Watch Department customisation business, gained something of a cult following.

Some customers started asking whether they could buy their Bamford London watch, so a side hustle developed making and selling sub-£500 quartz-based timekeepers.

They are still available today.

The hexagonal cases of these early “Bamford Mayfair” loaners evolved into a more rounded cushion shape that is used for all GMT and chronograph watches in the Bamford stable.

This shape is back for the Bamford London x Jeremyville Keep on Turnin, which is decorated with the artist’s iconic Earth character on the dial, with two arms pointing to hours and minutes and a circulating Saturn-style planet showing the second time zone on a 24-hour two-tone blue and yellow bezel.

It is driven by a workhorse Sellita SW330-2 automatic GMT movement housed in a steel 40mm case with black coating and is on sale from today for £1,700.
