Bamford Watch Department has followed this simple formula and will next week release a second collaboration watch with Franck Muller and the Peanuts franchise
The original black model launched for Christmas in 2021 at a price of £28,000.
This year’s reference reverses the colours from black to a glacial white for this season.
The new watch is a tick more expensive at £28,800.
“Everyone loves Snoopy. Bamford Watch Department loves Snoopy. Franck Muller loves Snoopy. And I just love seeing Snoopy on the dial of a watch. It puts a massive smile on my face and I can’t wait to hear what people think of this white-hot collaboration,” says BWD founder George Bamford.
Franck Muller CEO Nicholas Rudaz says the latest watch embodies the DNA of the Swiss watchmaker.
It is based on Franck Muller’s iconic Crazy Hours, which shows the hours scattered around a lacquered full-lume dial.
Snoopy is front and centre of a stamped guilloche lacquer dial with his arms become the hour and minute hands, but the hours have to jump around to find the correct hours in their random locations, a feat made possible with Franck Muller’s MVD FM 2800-CHR self-winding movement.
The watch comes in a lightweight and sporty 39.6mm tonneau and is worn on a white nylon strap.
Bamford Watch Department will start selling the watch on November 27 in its packaging made to look like Snoopy’s famous kennel.
