Bubble joins Kermit in the Oris ProPilot family

ProPilot X Calibre 400 Laser dial fades from green to blue to purple and back to blue; an effect created with a lasering on titanium technique never-before used in watchmaking.

Who among us, as children (or man-babies watching West Ham), have not marvelled at the shimmering psychedelic colours of bubbles made from simple water and washing-up liquid.

Oris designers may have been daydreaming about half time at the London Stadium when they conceived the dial of a new ProPilot X Calibre 400 Laser that fades from green to blue to purple and back to blue; an effect created with a lasering on titanium technique never-before used in watchmaking.

The sporty ProPilot comes in a lightweight 39mm titanium case with integrated bracelet in the same metal.

It is powered by an automatic Oris manufacture Calibre 400, which has 120 hour power reserve and is accurate to chronometer-standard -3/+5 seconds a day.

While the ProPilot Laser showed the Oris design team getting a little giddy, a Divers Sixty-Five Date in the Cotton Candy collection might have been created after the come-down.

Cotton Candy divers come in fun dial colours of pastel pink, blue and green, but a new model unveiled in Dubai, the Sepia, is a more muted affair with a black dial in a 38mm bronze case.

It can be bought on a matching bronze bracelet for £2,400 or a black rubber strap for £2,100.
