World Time UK is back for its 6th edition this year, looking to give watch brands an opportunity to exhibit products to British and European consumers.
Held on September 24th at the SOFITEL in London’s Heathrow Terminal 5, this year organisers have upgraded to the venue’s Zen Garden to accommodate a swelling exhibitor list.
Commenting on the move, organisers explained: “The Sofitel provides us with designated use of their “Zen Garden” after 3 years in the “Le Bar Parisien”. The “Zen Garden” is located at the opposite side of the hotel lobby and is a large and spacious area, laid out for the specific needs of our event now that a larger area is needed.
“An adjacent area opening into the event room will be providing beverages during the event. There is only one way in and out for better security and the tables are set out around the room, creating a nice flow for the exhibitors and visitors.”
World Time UK was founded and is supported by Localtime which sells new and preowned watches and watch accessories, with a particular interest in vintage watches it maintains a retail location in Nicosia, Cyprus and 2 online stores.
World Time went on to describe its plans for the future: “Our effort is to grow the World Time UK to a European-based exhibition fair that will give watch brands around the world the opportunity to exhibit their products and meet their prospective customers not only from the United Kingdom but also from Europe in general.”
As of 2021, we have moved the event to a slightly later date (last weekend of September instead of late August) so that we can make it easier for watch brands to attend and exhibit (the late August dates we had had so far were very close to the Hong Kong Watch Fair which takes place in the first week of September thus making it difficult for some watch brands to attend both events).
