WOLF sponsors WatchPro Awards ahead of 190th anniversary

The brand will also be supplying the safe for the new ‘safe cracker’ game, which lit up the WatchPro USA Awards in September

Ahead of its 190th anniversary celebrations, watch winding giant WOLF has confirmed its sponsorship of the WatchPro Awards for a sixth time.

Although the business has continued to grow and expand at an extraordinary pace, the brand’s owner Simon Wolf is still keen to embrace nights like the WatchPro Awards, where him and his team can toast their success and catch up with friends in the industry.

“The WatchPro Awards evening is the highlight for the watch industry in UK,” Mr Wolf said. “All the most prestigious brands and retailers gather together to recognise those that have gone the extra mile, to have a chat and share ideas.

This year will also see the first appearance of the ‘Safe-cracker’ game at the Awards. First seen at the WatchPro USA Awards in Manhattan in September, the game sees every guest given a personalised six digit code. Only one person will have been given the correct combination for the WOLF safe, which will be positioned at the front by the stage.

Throughout the evening, numbers are drip fed to the crowd, slowly eliminating all-but three individuals, who will then be brought up to the front to try their code on the WOLF safe. The lucky winner will get their hands on an IWC Pilot Chronograph, valued at around £8,000.

After seeing the same game play out at the WatchPro USA Awards, WOLF’s sales director for North America, Alberto Petochi, said: “It was one of the best awards I’ve ever attended.”

The WatchPro Awards 2023 will take place on 9th November at 8 Northumberland Avenue. Tickets can be bought HERE.

WOLF will also be exhibiting at WatchPro Salon, which is the UK’s luxury watch event, taking place at The Londoner on 10-11 November.
