Watcho gives Richmond a taste of American watch brands

Customers treated to presentations from the likes of Ball Watch Co., Bulova and Hamilton.

There has been a lot of buzz recently about how British microbrands are expanding overseas, particularly in the United States where momentum behind these design-led indies is strongest.

Watcho, based in London’s affluent suburb of Richmond, has turned that trend on its head with a night highlighting the breadth of watches produced by American-owned firms.

Its first American Brands Night last month showcased a curated selection of iconic American watch brands, including Ball Watch Co., Bulova, Garmin and Hamilton.

“We were thrilled to witness the enthusiasm and passion for American watch heritage among our attendees,” said Pradip Sarda, director at Watcho.

“The event aimed to celebrate the remarkable contributions of American watch brands to the world of horology, and we are delighted to have provided a platform for enthusiasts to engage with these prestigious timepieces.”

The evening featured live country music, authentic American cuisine and drinks, and a dedicated spa and relaxation corner, offering attendees a complete sensory experience. A highlight of the event was the special watch lottery, where winners walked away with prizes including new watches from the showcased brands.
