A rapid roll out of new directly-owned or franchised boutiques for Omega contributed to a record year of sales for the brand’s parent company Swatch Group in the UK.
Accounts released by Companies House today show turnover the group rose by 24% to a record £212 million for the 2022 financial year, which ended in December last year.
Operating profit increased even faster, by 51%, to £23.6 million.
It is the first time Swatch Group sales have recovered to exceed 2019, the year before lock downs were imposed by the government in an effort to contain covid infections.
