Supermodel Cara auctions off TAG Heuer for Cecil

TAG Heuer ambassador and supermodel Cara Delevingne has put her personal watch up for auction to raise funds for the research unit that was studying Cecil the Lion.

Delevingne posted news of the eBay auction on Instagram yesterday saying: “The killing of Cecil the Lion was a tragedy. Today join me to help the scientists who care about the future of wild lions in Africa and work very hard on their conservation. Ahead of the official sale of my TAG Heuer Signature Edition watch, I decided to auction my personal timepiece at the link above or go on eBay. I wore this watch on several occasions and during the last Monaco Grand Prix. The full amount will be refunded to WildCRU.org, the research unit that followed Cecil for many years. SO LETS JOIN FORCES!”

All of the funds raised from the sale will go to WildCRU.org, the UK-based research unit that followed Cecil for a number of years.

At the time of writing, the eBay auction had three days remaining scheduled to close on August 10 and had reached £7,000 with 72 bids.
