SIHH aims big for 28th instalment

SIHH returns for its 28th edition on 15-19 January next year, promising its biggest and best exhibition yet.

35 new exhibitors, including six new arrivals, will be showcasing their wares in front of some of the most prestigious watch retailers in the world. These six new exhibitors are: Hermès, Armin Strom, DeWitt, Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud, Élégante by F.P.Journe and Romain Gauthier.

The show has also confirmed that it will again put on a day for the general public on 19 January, following the success of the initiative for the first time last year.

The mobile app that accompanies the event allows visitors to access an interactive map of the exhibition as well as a plethora of other useful information, while there will also be three virtual reality scenarios involving the use of a marine chronometer, a railroad watch or a flyback chronograph.

SIHH expects 20,000 visitors over the five days, and will see this as a crucial year as the biggest show in the global watch calendar, Baselworld, continues to lose exhibitors year on year.
