Rare Tag Heuer watch to go up for auction

The watch is one of only 60 and is marked as ’50 of 60’ giving it an estimated value of between £20,000 and £30,000.

Fellows will auction a rare Tag Heuer Monaco V4 watch in Birmingham on Tuesday, November 26.

The watch is one of only 60 and is marked as ’50 of 60’ giving it an estimated value of between £20,000 and £30,000.

The 18-carat rose gold case is accompanied by a signed automatic belt-drive calibre V4 and two a black skeletonised dial with PVD-coated Cotes de Geneve finishing.

Senior watch specialist at Fellows Auctioneers, Steven Yambo, said: “This is one of the most intriguing watches we have had up for auction. The rose gold V4 is a simply stunning watch to look at which is a perfect representation of a timepiece designed to reflect the automobile industry.

“The fact that there are only sixty of these limited edition pieces out there makes me confident it will get a lot of attention at auction. Hopefully with this Tag Heuer watch and other highlights our final flagship Watch Sale of the year will finish strongly.”

The V4 model was introduced in 2004 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix containing mechanisms that mirror the engine of an automobile and the limited edition rose gold version was introduced in 2010.

The Monaco V5 will be listed as Lot 350 in the auction which will take place on November 26 at 11am.
