Rado revives Anatom watches on their 40th anniversary

Rado is back with a fresh line up of Anatom timekeepers using a new case made of the latest high-tech ceramic.

Rado unveiled its first Anatom watches in 1983. The collection’s name was chosen to draw attention to the watches’ being shaped to fit with the anatomy of the wrist thanks to their curved case shape.

Forty years on, Rado is back with a fresh line up of Anatom timekeepers using a new case made of the latest high-tech ceramic.

“In the true spirit of the earlier watch, our R&D team has revisited this iconic product, updating key aspects with Rado’s signature material and the latest production technics including a stunning edge-to-edge sapphire crystal impressively shaped to follow the anatomical contours of the new timepiece,” says Adrian Bosshard, Rado CEO.

The new Anatoms measure 32.5 x 46.3 x 11.3mm and have a textured rubber strap for a slightly sportier feel.

Dials have a lacquered polished horizontal satin-brushed finish.

There is an all-black 40th anniversary Jubile model along with three with dials that fade from black to green, blue or copper at their centre.

The Anatom is powered by an extra-slim Rado R766 calibre, with a 72-hour power reserve and an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring.

The anniversary limited edition in all black with diamond hour markers is priced at $10,100.

Green, copper and blue-dialled pieces are $3,350.
