It is the 200th anniversary for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution that provides 24-hour search and rescue services across the UK.
Over the past two centuries, the organisation has been responsible for saving over 143,000 lives.
British watchmaker Bremont is marking the double centenary with three limited editions of 200 pieces each carrying the RNLI logo and 1824 – 2024 on their dials.
There is an RNLI edition of the 43mm Bremont Supermarine 500 with a blue metal dial and a seconds hand with an orange tip in honour of the institution’s colours.
It comes with a choice of orange or blue rubber strap for £3,795 or on a steel bracelet for £4,195.
If 43mm is a bit chunky, the 40mm S300 RNLI may be more suitable.
It comes in the same colourway as the S500 and can be bought on rubber straps for £3,295 or on a bracelet for £3,695.
Smaller still is the 34mm SOLO-34 RNLI, on sale now for £3,195 on a blue leather strap or £3,395 on a bracelet.
Bremont has promised that a percentage of proceeds from the sale of these watches is going directly to support the RNLI’s life-saving work.
