Pequignet banks on family-owned investment firm to accelerate growth

The ENOWE team says it will accompany the brand in its development, bringing its strategic and operational experience, both in terms of innovation and growth in France and abroad.

Pequignet has secured investment from ENOWE, a family-owned business that is expected to help grow Pequignet across Europe.

The ENOWE team says it will accompany the brand in its development, bringing its strategic and operational experience, both in terms of innovation and growth in France and abroad.

As part of the deal, ENOWE explained how it shares the same ambitions and values as the brand and is committed to working with the existing management team.

In joining the ENOWE Excellence Group, Pequignet detailed how it will benefit from an industrial, committed, stable and sustainable shareholder base and will be able to rely on the operational experience of ENOWE’s teams in order to “perpetuate, structure and accelerate its structure and accelerate its growth.”

Founded in 1973 by Emile Pequignet, Pequignet is one of the last independent French watchmakers that designs, assembles, develops and markets its own watch movements in its workshops in Morteau, in the heart of the Jura.

Commenting on the move, Hugues Souparis, Founder of ENOWE explained: “Fine watchmaking is a profession of enthusiasts, which combines creativity, design, rigor, technology and industrial know-how, “playgrounds” that are dear to me.”

“I am therefore very happy to bring my experience to the PEQUIGNET team.”

Pequignet went on to outline its wishes to continue its promising development in France and abroad, and to take a more important place at the higher-end of watchmaking.

It employs 20 experienced staff and will maintain its regional roots while and strengthening its technical, sales, marketing and digital teams by attracting new talent.

The objective is to offer watches that are more and more desirable, increase brand awareness by strengthening its digital presence, while continuing to rely on the network of quality jewellers and watchmakers who are loyal to the brand.

It is expected that ENOWE will support the management team on this strategy of expansion to attract new customers too.
