Peers Hardy has been monitoring the decline of quartz fashion watches for a number of years, and successfully pivoted away from the category and into stylish smartwatch and fitness trackers in 2020.
Now it is expanding its portfolio again, back to quartz this time, but with two brands — Jacques du Manoir and JDM — which make their watches in Switzerland, and have more of an on-trend classical sports watch aesthetic.
Peers Hardy is promoting Jacques du Manoir’s collection as women’s watches for the high spirited, confident, motivated and independent female.
The JDM sub-brand has a more military aesthetic.
“While genuinely Swiss made and with Swiss quartz movements, Jacques du Manoir and JDM prices are extremely good with both brands starting under £200 at retail. As is so often the case with Peers Hardy, we are still offering value even at a much higher price point than we normally tend to offer,” says Paul Harry, sales and marketing director for Peers Hardy.
