Orient and Orient Star embark on journey into the UK market

It follows the global success of Orient and Orient Star watches in over 40 countries.

Japanese watchmaker Orient has confirmed that Orient and Orient Star will become available in the United Kingdom for the very first time.

Launching in the UK today, the brand is bringing much loved watches to the UK with an initial collection of 46 timepieces including flagship models from Orient Star which are hand assembled and made in Japan.

This comprises the Diver 1964 2nd Edition and Contemporary Skeleton, as well as the bestselling Orient Bambino 38mm timepiece, beloved for its compact case size and vintage feel.

Since the 1950’s, Orient and Orient Star have offered high-quality, attainable timepieces with enduring style.

Founded in Tokyo, the brands’ heritage is rooted in Japanese craftsmanship, reliability, precision, and beauty that stands the test of time.

Orient has continued to create durable, reliable timepieces featuring high-quality, in-house movements at an accessible price point.

In 1951, the desire to create a premium line of watches ensued and Orient Star was born, with a focus on offering intricate craftmanship, robust movements and high-end finishes.

In 2017, after a long partnership in watchmaking, Orient became part of Epson with its established heritage in timekeeping and watchmaking. Today it is fully integrated into the business.

  1. This is great news. For a long while UK buyers have been getting their Orient fix from the grey market, but spares and servicing have been an issue. Hopefully this will address this issue. It makes Orient even better value.
