Beaverbrooks has unveiled the results of its biggest high street investment this year, with a relocated Newcastle store and the introduction of a brand new TAG Heuer boutique.
Funded by a £1.4m investment, the retailer has moved to a new location on Hotspur Way in Eldon Square Shopping Centre.
Spanning 1,330 sq ft, the Beaverbrooks Newcastle store features a dedicated ‘diamond room’ and specialist diamond areas where the family-owned jeweller’s team of experts will assist customers with engagement and wedding ring purchases.
Here, shoppers will be able to browse Beaverbrooks’ own-brand diamond range, including the newly-launched Starlit collection – a unique 15-piece collection representing the stars that light the universe.
The Essence collection will also be available in Newcastle, featuring plenty of sparkle and a story behind every design, as well as Beyond Brilliance – the exclusively designed collection celebrating Beaverbrooks’ 100th birthday (and the only diamond cut of its kind in the world).
Beaverbrooks will be the only jeweller in the city centre to stock diamond brands Royal Asscher and Maple Leaf, as well as offering watches from Baume and Mercier, Rado, and Tissot.
Beaverbrooks managing director, Anna Blackburn commented: “As we approach our 45th anniversary in Newcastle in January, this investment into the future of Beaverbrooks and Newcastle is a particularly exciting one for us.
“We are over the moon to be expanding our long-running and incredibly valued partnership with TAG Heuer to open a new boutique in the city.
“Add to this our amazing upscaled Beaverbrooks store location with dedicated diamond room and shop-in-shop, we are pleased to position ourselves as the expert in jewellery, diamond, bridal, and luxury watches.
“We’re confident the new store will be popular with customers – both local and further afield – providing them with access to our diamond and bridal team expertise and latest stunning ranges.
“We look forward to continuing to provide outstanding levels of customer service, while showcasing our expertise and passion for luxury watches and fine jewellery.”
Adjoining the relocated and refurbished showroom is the 600 sq ft TAG Heuer boutique – the 14th TAG Heuer location in Beaverbrooks’ extensive portfolio.
Discussing the watch brand’s ongoing partnership with Beaverbrooks, TAG Heuer MD for the UK and Ireland, Rob Diver said: “We are excited to continue our retail expansion plan with the opening of the first ever TAG Heuer Boutique in Newcastle with long-standing partner, Beaverbrooks.
“The new boutique is located in the city’s prominent shopping centre, Eldon Square, and will offer the full TAG Heuer experience with the brand’s renowned collections along with Special Editions.
“The team will welcome new customers into the boutique sharing their expertise in the search of the perfect timepiece, just in time for the festive period.”
As Beaverbrooks Newcastle approaches its 45th anniversary in January, the revamp of this retail space cements the jeweller’s position in the town, demonstrating Beaverbrooks’ dedication to the wider region.
The investment in this store and new boutique has created four new jobs for the local community.
“Luxury goods continue to be a growing, popular market, so we’re thrilled to have Beaverbrooks in the centre,” explained Eldon Square general manager, Cormac Hamilton.
“Its heritage as a family-owned jewellers, and reputation for quality and elegance, appeals to our customers who enjoy the latest in fine jewellery, diamonds, and Swiss and designer watches.
“The timing of its new store couldn’t be better, as the holiday season often brings about a demand for prestige items such as jewellery and watches to gift to loved ones.
“We are proud to support Beaverbrooks‘ retail expansion throughout the UK, and eagerly await the exciting developments of this much-loved brand in the future.”
Boasting 87 stores across the UK, the national jeweller has continued to expand its luxury offering over recent months, with the new TAG Heuer boutique taking the retailer’s total of dedicated luxury watch boutiques to 21.
