Not too unusual these days, as we have become accustomed to and somewhat spoilt with a new generation of young entrepreneurial independents all launching and shaping the watch landscape.
NOTTARIS is the result of a family who, over several watchmaker generations, have finally decided to found their own watch brand, spearheaded by A. Angelo Nottaris.
The first model to be launched is the UNI:SEX. The UNI:SEX is based on the practical master’s thesis UNI:SEX and the master’s thesis “The battle of the Wrist”, which A.Angelo Nottaris was awarded the title of “Master of Fine Arts in Watch Design” by the Geneva University of Art and Design.
Nottaris has his sights on the brand’s future and has already lined up other models to follow the UNI:SEX, with CAMARO and SUPERBE models. With plans to have versions of the three models from 2026.
The UNI:SEX is more of an everyday wear designer watch, with the CAMARO is a sportier watch with a ‘Fast Sixties’ vibe, followed by a more sophisticated skeletonised SUPERBE as a classic Art Deco watch.

The watch comes with Robust Medical Steel and a powerful fluorescence to guarantee a longer glow.
The in-house design team has considered damage limitation by providing a movement and case without screwing, which provides better protection from the elements.
Further protection is provided by a winding crown that is recessed into the case with a firmly locked dial without a fragile holder.
Production is set to begins next month April 2024 and will be limited to 22 pieces. At the time of writing, there were 11 orders out of the 22 available.
NOTTARIS seems to be a brand that has thought of everything, so it will be interesting to see how it evolves with its refreshing mindset that has applied learnings that benefit from five generations of watchmakers.
I saw ,held and worn the prototype and I never felt as comfortable as this watch . The case is first of it’s kind .made out of sustainable materials . The ergonomic
design made ut so easy to wear it and the angle on the dial oriented to read time in a more natural glance . The movement is Horage . This watch can easily trumple the big three-Rolex, Cartier and Omega . The only drawback is only 22 will be made and only 21 will be available as one is mine .
