NOMOS offers platinum grey dial for first Tangente neomatik watches of 2022

In an uncertain world, there is comfort in the way Germany’s NOMOS Glashütte sticks to its path of producing impeccable, precise and unassuming timepieces.

On a day when Russia is invading Ukraine, it is worth remembering that the village of Glashütte was on the wrong side of the iron curtain until 1990 and its watchmakers were essentially nationalised as part of the Soviet Union.

NOMOS has become a thriving private enterprise in the three decades since, producing its own movements and watches to incredibly high quality standards.

In an uncertain world, there is comfort in the way Germany’s NOMOS Glashütte sticks to its path of producing impeccable, precise and unassuming timepieces.

The company’s first watches of 2022 demonstrate this confidence in its method with a pair of Tangente neomatik with platinum grey dials.

If you have always liked NOMOS, there is nothing in these watches to change your mind.

They have the same minimalist dials as all Tangente neomatiks, this time plated in rodium.

Cases in 35mm and 39mm diameters are super slim thanks to the thin DUW 3001 automatic movement.

There is the option of a crystal case back displaying the movement or, for the first time, a steel back, which makes the watch £300 cheaper and sets a new entry level price and gives space for engraving a personal message.

The watches come on straps made from Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan, one of the finest leathers in the world, according to NOMOS.

NOMOS Tagente neomatik platinum gray 35mm costs £2,740 with an exhibition case back and £2,440 with a steel back. The 39mm is £2,880 with the clear back and £2,580 with the closed back.
