NOMOS beats Rolex and Omega in global quality study

In a study scoring companies on product and service, availability, customer satisfaction, innovation and quality, Rolex scored a respectable 74.6, Omega was better at 77.6%, but NOMOS aced the tests with a perfect score of 100.

One of the reasons retailers love Rolex and Omega watches is that, once sold, they rarely see the watches again for anything more than routine servicing.

They are simply so well made that they never have problems.

Which makes the results of a study by the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research — a Germany-based consultant on strategic and operational management in press relations, marketing and risk management — all the more remarkable.

The Highest Quality 2021 study set out to gauge how millions of consumers around the world react to certain brands when it comes to the quality of their products and services.

Effectively, it uses the “power of the crowd” to help inform brands where they can improve.

The study scoured 438 million online sources — including 154 million blogs, four million news sites, a million press releases, and several million social media posts — to collect data that was analysed using artificial intelligence and social listening tools.

Even NOMOS is not suggesting that its watches are superior in build quality to brands such as Rolex and Omega, but the reaction from millions of consumers does suggest that there is almost zero negativity towards the German watchmaker while the world’s biggest brands do polarise opinions.
