Michel Herbelin is building on the success of its 2020 Newport Héritage collection with a more classically styled model but with the same 1970s retro feel.
Newport Héritage watches take design cues from ship design including their porthole-style bezel.
“Combining a seventies design inspired by the brand’s archives with the maritime hallmarks characteristic of the Newport, all tinged with French elegance, the refined character of this automatic timepiece makes it truly stand out,” a spokesperson for Michel Herbelin says.
The latest model comes in a 42mm x 42mm cushion shaped steel case with its circular porthole-style bezel decorated with exposed polished screw heads.
Its silver dial has bold golden hands and faceted hour markers. A day and date display is a 3 o’clock.
Michel Herbelin has used an automatic Sellita SW220-1 movement with an engraved branded oscillating weight generating power for up to 38 hours use.
The watch is on sale now for £999 on a brown leather strap with double folding clasp.
