Lunn’s joins Rolex Certified Pre-Owned programme

Belfast jeweller becomes the fourth Rolex partner in the UK to join the trading scheme.

Lunn’s Jewellers in Northern Ireland has become the latest participant in the Rolex Certified Pre-Owned programme.

The programme, delivered through Rolex’s official partner retailers, sees pre-owned watches that are more than three years old given a two-year international guarantee following a full service by the brand or an accredited service centre.

Each watch is also repackaged in a Rolex Certified Pre-Owned box and pouch.

Lunn’s has its own Rolex Authorised Service Centre and watchmakers, which can service and authenticate watches before they are given the new Rolex CPO seals from the brand.

“We are honoured to launch the official Rolex Certified Pre-Owned programme in Belfast,” says John Lunn, managing director of Lunn’s Jewellers.

“The launch represents another milestone in our long-standing partnership with this esteemed brand, which saw the opening of our Rolex showroom and fully authorised Rolex workshop back in 2019. We want to thank Rolex for continuing to place their trust in Lunn’s and we can’t wait to introduce the programme to our clients,” he adds.

Lunn’s joins Bucherer, Watches of Switzerland and Prestons in the Rolex CPO programme.

All UK participants appear to be aligned on charging premiums of up to 50% above market rates for the same Rolex references.

For example, a 2020 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 116500LN (black dial and ceramic bezel) for £27,500.

A 2018 version of the same watch is priced at £27,950 at Prestons.

Watchcollecting.com, which sells pre-owned watches through timed online sales, achieved £19,400 for an identical Daytona from 2019 without the Rolex CPO tags.
