Kartel Watches has opened its first boutique at Coal Drops Yard, a retail and restaurant destination developed from reclaimed Victorian industrial buildings around Kings Cross and St Pancras stations.
It is a fashionable area, where old and new come together, providing a perfect setting for Kartel’s artistic approach to its watches.
“We are excited to open our doors in London, a city that mirrors our values of tradition and innovation,” says Bobby Morrison, CEO of Kartel Watches.
“Our new store at Coal Drops Yard is not just a place to purchase a watch; it’s a destination where customers can immerse themselves in the art of watchmaking and appreciate the finer things in life, like our exceptional whisky collection,” he adds.
Kartel Watches only sells its watches through physical stores because it wants every customer to have the chance to build their own timepieces from a selection of parts starting with a case design, choice of design and then various options for fabric and leather straps or steel bracelets.
The company first opened boutiques in Edinburgh and St Andrews, in its native Scotland, selling affordable watches with names like Knoydart, Cameron and Blackmount that are rooted in the country.
That Scottish connection has travelled south with Kartel offering some of the finest whiskies from around the world; a surefire way to get customers’ creative juices flowing as they design their watches.
