Those of you that attend WATCHPRO Salon at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square will be visiting the largest gathering of luxury watch and accessories brands since Salon QP closed its doors.
Just as important, it is the biggest gathering of owners, watchmakers and executives from the watch industry, mixing and sharing experiences with each other, with journalists, retailers and customers.
This has been sorely missed over the past two years.
We owe a debt of thanks to Salon QP. It was an excellent show, launched by James Gurney and run by Lucy Cheesewright, and we have taken inspiration from the look and feel of the event, but moved it to a more central location at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square; arguably the most exciting hotel launch in the capital since 2019 and a spectacular venue for WATCHRPO Salon.
Lucy joined WATCHPRO to run all our live events at the beginning of this year. That was quite a risk for a small operation like WATCHPRO given the country was in lock down at the time and large in-person gatherings faced an uncertain future.
But we have not regretted the decision for a second as Lucy has lived and breathed Salon every day since.
WATCHPRO Salon would not have been a success without her.
It is worth stressing that shows like Salon do not arrive fully formed in their first year.
There are brands that were not able to participate because of problems bringing the right people to present at the show.
There may be hesitation among people that would ordinarily have rushed to attend but left the decision until the last second to see if any restrictions would be reintroduced.
We persevered with the launch of WATCHPRO Salon because we believe that the UK, as the fifth largest watch market in the world, needs its own exhibition that brings together trade, press and consumers.
We are delighted, humbled and grateful for the support we have received for our debut by brands, press, retailers and watch-loving consumers, and look forward to making this a bigger and bigger fixture every year.

WATCHPRO Salon is the UK’s biggest showcase of prestige watchmakers this year and a chance for brands, retailers and press to meet collectors and enthusiasts in 5-star luxury.
The two-day event takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on London’s Leicester Square.
