Horological Society of New York brings Horology 101 classes to London

Learn how to disassemble and reassemble a mechanical watch movement.

The Horological Society of New York is hosting its Horology 101 classes in London this month.

The course, hosted by Phillips auction house, is being held in partnership with the British Horological Institute and the Museum of Timekeeping.

Bookings are being taken to attend on September 30 and October 1.

Horology 101 is a hands-on, single session class taught by professional watchmakers.

Students learn how a mechanical watch movement works and proper usage of watchmaking tools.

Finally, students disassemble and reassemble a mechanical watch movement.

No previous experience is required.
