Frederique Constant took to an exclusive sailing boat to launch its Yacht Timer collection with two new models.
The Regatta Countdown and the Yacht Timer GMT models, both intended for lovers of competitive sailing and other nautical activities, were unveiled on September 12 at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Regatta Countdown comes equipped with a built-in timer that counts down the critical 10 minutes before sailing vessels set off for the race.
Regatta racers can use the countdown to find the best position for dashing out front based on the wind and the other vessels — and without ever having to go over the starting line.
The Yacht Timer GMT is a new model with two versions that are “unmistakably nautical” in nature.
The GMT function can display a second-time zone, a crucial feature for world travelers, and had previously only been offered in the Classics collection, designed for professionals on the go who wanted to see the local time and the time at home base when changing planes or continents.
