Fabergé gives collectors a second shot at acquiring its award-winning Compliquée Peacock Watch

Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, founder of Agenhor, and widely considered one of the finest watchmakers of his generation, has teamed up again with the artist André Martinez – a specialist in miniature dial painting — to produce fresh versions of the Peacock.

Fabergé has been working with the same artisans who created the GPHG award-winning Compliquée Peacock Watch in 2015.

Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, founder of Agenhor, and widely considered one of the finest watchmakers of his generation, has teamed up again with the artist André Martinez – a specialist in miniature dial painting — to produce fresh versions of the Peacock.

The animated peacock mechanism is made at Mr Wiederrecht’s Agenhor studio while the dial’s artwork is created using engraving and lacquers by Mr Martinez.

“The new Compliquée Peacock Arte Hand-Etched Limited Editions embrace all the things that fascinate me: the link to the Peacock Egg of 1908; the technicity, yet apparent simplicity, of the mechanism; the level of skills required to achieve these delicate watches; and the beauty of the execution in every detail. More than anything, these pieces reflect the fantastic harmony between the master craftspeople working on every single component of these watches, which stays true to Fabergé’s values,” says Aurélie Picaud, timepieces director at Fabergé.

The Fabergé Compliquée Peacock Arte Hand-Etched Limited-Edition White Gold Watches are on sale at Fabergé boutiques and on Faberge.com for $52,500/£47,760.
