Elliot Brown opens its first boutique in home town of Poole

Ten years after launching its first ultra-rugged timepieces, British watch business Elliot Brown has opened its first boutique — The Crew Room — in its home town of Poole in Dorset.

Ten years after launching its first ultra-rugged timepieces, British watch business Elliot Brown has opened its first boutique — The Crew Room — in its home town of Poole in Dorset.

As is the fashion these days, customers will be greeted more like guests of a welcoming club than as potential customers.

Along with a full range of Elliot Brown’s current collections and exclusive launches, the boutique invites people to come in, have a coffee and chat the EB team.

“The Crew Room is an exciting venture,” says Guy Allen, Elliot Brown’s head of sales.

“It is an undiluted experience of all things Elliot Brown, from its location in the heart of Poole harbour to the bespoke shop fit truly expressing the DNA of the brand.”

Guests at today’s launch will have the opportunity to buy an exclusive version of the sell-out Elliot Brown Beachmaster watch, known as the Founders Edition.

It will be presented and described by EB’s founders, Ian Elliot and Alex Brown, who are both still driving the business.

The Beachmaster launched last year as one of the brand’s most ambitious watches: a high-performance, automatic GMT with a patented 24-hour click-lock, mission timing, dual time-zones, ceramic divers’ bezel, 56-hour power reserve and 300 metres of water-resistance, thanks to the hydraulically stamped and bolted down caseback.

Recently a Beachmaster sold at a private charity auction for £25,000.

The usual retail price is £2,375.
