CD Peacock, the Official Watch and Jewelry Partner of the Chicago Cubs, has announced that pitcher Marcus Stroman is the Chicago Cubs Player of the Month for May.
Each month, the Chicago Cubs select three finalists for the CD Peacock Player of the Month award.
Fans have 24 hours to go to the Cubs’ Twitter feed and vote for one of the three players.
Once voting closes, the player with the most votes receives an inscribed watch from CD Peacock and is honored on the field before the next home game.
Commenting on the announcement, CD Peacock’s VP of Marketing & Communications, said: “CD Peacock is proud to recognize Marcus Stroman as the Player of the Month.”
Adding: “Marcus exemplifies both the excellence of a star athlete and the values of a Chicago community member, as evidenced by his continued philanthropic work.“
As part of the achievement, May’s Player of the Month, Marcus Stroman, received a Tudor Pelagos – a 42mm stainless steel and titanium automatic diving watch, featuring a matte blue ceramic unidirectional rotatable bezel and a matching blue dial with white indices and date at 3 o’clock.
Powered by a Tudor Manufacture calibre MT5612 COSC-certified movement, it boasts a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
Equipped with a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock, the Pelagos is waterproof to 500m and includes a titanium bracelet with a folding clasp and safety catch in steel, as well as a bracelet extension system developed and patented by Tudor.
