Bulova makes waves with expanded Marine star collection

Latest collection features new Series ‘A’ and ‘B’ models embodying the brand’s rich maritime heritage and bold style

Bulova has expanded its Marine Star collection of nautical inspired watches.

The latest collection expansion features new Series ‘A’ and ‘B’ models embodying the brand’s rich maritime heritage and bold style.

The new Marine Star Series ‘” features a dramatic, angular stainless steel case with brushed finishing and polished accents, a deep blue bezel, flat mineral crystal, and screw-down crown.

The striking blue dial combines sunray texture along the hour track and a central dial with a radiant sunburst finish, complete with luminescent hands, polished indices, and a running seconds sub-dial with orange accents.

Visible through both the dial aperture and an exhibition case back, the open heartbeat automatic movement features 21 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve.

The 45mm watch is complemented with a matching silver-tone stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and retails for $650.

Bulova has also added a new six-hand Series ‘B’ chronograph watch that delivers the vibrancy of the sea with the ruggedness required by those who wish to explore it.

The silver-tone stainless steel case features a balance of brushed and polished facets, a flat mineral crystal, and a pull-out crown achieving 100m water resistance.

The dial is a refreshing burst of orange, recalling the same hue as Bulova’s iconic ‘Devil Diver’ with black accents, featuring silver-tone polished stainless steel hands and applied markers, all of which have been treated with luminescent material for low-light legibility.

The dial features a running seconds sub-dial, with a central chronograph seconds hand and 60-minute and 1/20 seconds chronograph sub-dials. The dial is completed with an internal rotating 60-minute timing case ring, operated by the crown at 10 o’clock.

The watch is fitted with a matching silver-tone stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished finishing and an extendable sport foldover clasp with pushers and a safety bar.

Meanwhile, Bulova has also teased additional Marine Star timepieces that were designed in collaboration with the brand’s latest collaborator, Marc Anthony.

Reminiscent of Marc’s nautical Miami lifestyle and his love of water the new Marc Anthony Marine Star watches are being debuted as part of his PLAY Collection. They will be launched later this year.

  1. Well executed and well styled pieces for Bulova. No mention of the 11 O’Clock Pusher, is this a Quick-set for the Calendar, as @ 100 Mtr.’s it would not be a Release Valve. Question, why with the same Functions, separated by Blue or Orange Dial, does the former have an Indices at 12 O’Clock, while the Orange has an Accutron Tuning Fork Logo, in what is not Electronic, but Automatic? It would seem as a Diver’s, even at 100 Meters, Super Luminova Indices would be a Feature that returns more Functionality.

  2. Still cannot beat the Girard Perregaux for top valve and at bargain prices. I have both Bulova and GP in my collection !
