Breitling and Triumph collaboration produces its first watch

A new Top Time chronograph has been created with Triumph with a quartered dial in two shades of cool blue and black subdials.

Breitling has unveiled the first watch of its new collaboration with British motorbike maker Triumph.

Breitling switched saddles from Norton, another historic motorcycle maker, to Triumph in the summer of last year.

A new Top Time chronograph has been created with Triumph with a quartered dial in two shades of cool blue and black subdials.

The 41mm steel watch houses an automatic Breitling Caliber 23 movement protected by a closed case back engraved with a sketch of Triumph’s parallel twin engine.

At the same time as Breitling’s watch launch, Triumph has unveiled 270 co-branded motorcycles — the Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition — whose owners will have the opportunity to purchase a special version of the Top Time Triumph.

The bike costs £16,000.

The only difference with the owners’ watch is that the caseback will have the individual number of the motorbike.

“Triumph’s heritage and modern-retro aesthetic are just two of the many things we have in common,” said Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “Their blending of tradition with technology is completely in sync with what we do.”

The Top Time Triumph is priced at £4,500. The additional engraving for the Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition owners’ edition takes the price to £4,650.
