Bob’s Watches bags sponsorship deal with rising US golf star Kurt Kitayama

We are used to the likes of Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Omega maintaining a roster of top flight golfers as brand ambassadors but, in a sign of the growing sophistication of pre-owned watch specialists, we learn today that Bob’s Watches has signed Kurt Kitayama as a face of the business.

American pro Mr Kitayama won his first PGA tour title in March 2023 at the highly respected Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The victory secures his place at the 2023 Masters in Augusta.

Bob’s Watches says the golfer’s unwavering commitment to precision, finesse, and the continuous quest for perfection mirrors its own ethos of providing clients with luxury watches of the highest quality.

Mr Kitayama, 30, has been climbing the world rankings since earning his PGA tour card in 2021, notching several top-10 finishes before claiming victory earlier this year.

He is currently ranked 20th in the FedEx Cup standings and 24th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

“Kurt Kitayama has carved out a remarkable position for himself as a standout player on the PGA tour. His unwavering commitment, composure, and fair play epitomize our ethos at Bob’s Watches. We’re excited to be his sponsor and anticipate a mutually beneficial alliance,” says Paul Altieri, CEO of Bob’s Watches.

In another sign that pre-owned players are upping their game and attracting interest from big name sports stars, Chrono24 today announced that it has secured funding from  Christiano Ronaldo, the world’s best paid athlete, according to Forbes, who is currently seeing out the Fall of his soccer career in Saudi Arabia.
