Hublot has unveiled Jose Mourinho as its latest brand ambassador as the Chelsea manager toured the company’s Swiss manufacturing facility.
Mourinho, known as ‘The Special One’ within footballing circles, was seen as a perfect ambassador for Hublot, given his outstanding professional record and his own sense of style.
The ‘keen watch enthusiast’ toured Hublot’s factory in Nyon yesterday before being announced as brand ambassador.
Mourinho has achieved international success with FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, winning the UEFA Cup and two Champions League titles and being named as the first FIFA World Coach of the Year, in recognition of taking a historic treble with Inter Milan in the 2009-2010 season.
The provocative and outspoken Portuguese holds a Master of Sports Law, Economics and Management from the University of Lisbon and is widely considered to be the best tactician in the footballing world, this month taking the world record for leading his side to 100 Premier League victories in the shortest time upon his return to Chelsea in June 2013.
Mourinho joins the likes of Pelé, Usain Bolt, Kobe Bryant and Olympic ski-ing champions Dario Cologna and Maria Höfl-Riesch as ambassadors of the brand.
