Zenith relaunched its Pilot collection last year with smaller cases sizes that are more in line with current tastes, and is following up with two boutique-only pieces with dark blue grooved dials.
Simplest of the two is the Zenith Pilot Automatic, ref. 03.4000.3620/51.I003, which comes in a 40mm brushed steel case.
It is driven by the El Primero 3620 automatic movement, which beats at 5Hz and has approximately 60 hour power reserve.
Priced at £6,700, the watch comes with two straps: one a blue Cordura effect rubber strap, the other in brown calfskin.
More complex is the Zenith Pilot Big Date Flyback, an automatic El Primero column-wheel chronograph with flyback function and a big date at 6 o’clock.
The steel piece is slightly larger at 42.5mm to accommodate an El Primero 3652 automatic movement powering central hours and minutes hands, small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.
It has the same two strap options as the Pilot Automatic, and is sold exclusively by Zenith for £10,100.
Both watches can be bought online at Zenith’s own ecommerce site.
