Seiko has promoted Yosh Kawada to the role of president and chief executive of Seiko Corp. of America, a subsidiary of the Japanese watch company.
Kawada joined Seiko in 2010 and has been serving as senior vice-president of Seiko Corp. of America.
He will balance his new responsibilities with an additional role of senior vice-president of Tokyo office Seiko Watch Corp.
Kawada said: "I assume this role during an exciting time for the brand’s influence in the United States, and plan to implement successful strategies that will continue to bring the company to the forefront of the timepiece industry.”
