WATCHPRO Salon visitors will be the first in the world to see a sporty version of the revolutionary Byrne Gyrodial timepiece
GyroDial watches were critically acclaimed during their launch at Geneva Watch Days in the summer, thanks to a novelty that has to be seen with your own eyes to truly understand its genius.
The concept of the Byrne GyroDial is a watch with multiple faces, with four indices at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, changing their appearance in a flash.
For example, the dial can change from Roman to Arabic numerals, or from numbers to symbols.
Byrne can even create customised dials so that the indices change to important symbols in somebody’s life.
Byrne says its GyroDial offers its owner the feeling of wearing a different watch every day, of changing expression in an instant.
This explains the motto of the Byrne GyroDial: “Change your mind in a flash”.
Creator John Byrne came up with the idea of the GyroDial at the ballet where four dancers changed their outfits in the blink of an eye.
Byrne GyroDial Sport
The GyroDial Sport, which will be unveiled at WATCHPRO Salon, has a case cut from a block of Grade 5 titanium and its rotating numerals are created in a “Sports Jersey” style.
Every GyroDial watch has four cubes at 12, 3, 6 and 9 on the dial that rotate, faster than the eye can see, at midnight to reveal another facet.
Their 41.7mm cases house a Swiss automatic movement developed in Fleurier by LTM.
This 5555 movement, seen from the back of the watch, has its plate and bridges in nickel silver, hand finished with straight grain satin finish and Côtes de Genève chamfering.
The GyroDial Sport retails for CHF 16,500, excluding tax.
