Jacob & Co. has revealed details of its new “Gotham City” luxury watch, the first offering in a previously announced multi-year partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC.
A 45.5 mm watch filled with details and high quality materials worthy of Bruce Wayne, the Gotham City timepiece is available now in extremely limited quantities – only 72 pieces exist.
Jacob & Co. created a series of 36 pieces in black DLC titanium (inspired by Batman) and another 36 in 18K rose gold (inspired by Batman’s secret identity, Bruce Wayne), which retail beginning at $220,000.
Fitted with a hyper complicated movement with twin, flying, sequential, high-speed, triple-axis tourbillons, the Gotham City is a tribute to Batman’s crime fighting tech, and the glamorous lifestyle of Bruce Wayne.
Powered by the hand-wound JCFM10 caliber with twin flying Triple-Axis Tourbillons at 5 and 7 o’clock, the movement is 39.2mm in diameter and 14.2mm in height with a total of 382 components.
Meanwhile, the case has a diameter of 45.5mm and is 17.2mm in height. It is made out of black DLC matte titanium or polished 18k 5N rose gold.
The dial is polished and features a bevelled Onyx Bat-Shaped plate with a yellow Neoralithe outline while the strap comes in black rubber.
There are 36 pieces in the Black DLC Titanium and the same amount in 18K Rose Gold, both water-resistant to 30m.
