Did you know it is Shark Week?
Me neither.
Ulysse Nardin brings this news to WATCHPRO’s attention because the brand has made a special version of its Diver Chrono to mark the occasion, and given it a name to send shivers down your spine: the Great White.
The aim is to raise awareness about shark conservation around the world, and it is donating 1% of its sales to non-profit organizations focused on sharks including SharkTrust, a shark conservation charity.
Ulysse Nardin has also named Mike Coots as a brand ambassador. Mr Coots lost his right leg in a tiger shark attack at 18-years-old while body-boarding.
Remarkably, he then became an advocate for saving sharks in an effort to maintain balance in the ecosystem.
The new Diver Great Shark chronograph comes in a grey and white color combination across the dial and rubberized diver’s bezel.
It comes in a 44mm titanium case housing a UN-150 automatic movment.
The watch is a limited edition of just 300 pieces priced at £11,070.
