STORM is aiming for a younger audience by signing a sponsorship deal with pro skateboarder Joe Hinson.
Mr Hinson has been a UK street skate champion three times over.
“I really wanted to work with STORM because of their really unique style and quality of the watches,” Mr Hinson says.
“A good quality watch that’s not going to just break off your wrist if you fall is first and foremost when you’re skateboarding. STORM have helped support me with contests and getting more exposure overall and I’m glad to be representing the brand,” he adds.
The skater’s next mission is to secure a place with Team GB and compete at next summer’s Paris Olympics.
Nick Sunderland, head of marketing at STORM, is delighted with the partnership, and its potential to appeal to younger thrill seekers.
“STORM has been involved in extreme sports in the past and it has always worked well for us. We wanted to increase our presence in this category and felt that Joe was the right person to help us achieve this,” he says.
