IKEPOD’s first two launches in 1996 and 1997 were the Seaslug dive watch and the UFO, which was shaped like a flying saucer.
Bringing the two together has created the shape and style of today’s Seapod collection, which comes in several versions including the Seapod Zale in black with orange hands and markers while Seapod Jacques is also blue, but with sky blue accents and Francois has a black PVD finish on the steel.
All three watches will be available to try and buy at next week’s WATCHPRO Salon (November 12 to 13 at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square).
They come in a 46mm matte steel flying saucer shaped case and unidirectional bezel with bold, highly legible numbers.
Inside they use an automatic Miyota 9039 movement with 42 hours power reserve and are worn on silicone straps.
WATCHPRO Salon
Ikepod is one of the star brands at this year’s WATCHPRO Salon, a showcase of prestige watchmakers and a chance for brands, retailers and press to meet collectors and enthusiasts in 5-star luxury.
The two-day event takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on London’s Leicester Square.
